Always adjusting

In life we have to pivot all the time, especially now. It is challenging for all of us and we are figuring it out one step at a time. I am grateful to be able to adjust my business to do my baking classes online. For me it means, learning how to navigate the computer AGAIN, learning how to best teach my students from the computer and explain what is going on with their sweets from their homes without being directly in front of them and hoping they have a product that they are proud of and love. It means setting up my classes in a new way and remembering to slow down and enjoy the moments.

As a business owner, it also means learning all the information about how the reality of this coronavirus will affect me financially, I am learning how to navigate loans, grants etc and we all know it is not my favorite, but so necessary to keep on pushing through. I choose to be unstoppable. In order to keep this dream alive, I have to figure out the not so fun non-baking stuff. There are way worse things and I know that, but lets’ be honest, I will always be baking.

What will never change is my passion for desserts, exploring my creativity and my love of teaching and baking and connecting with all of you. You truly have made an impact on my life that you may never know or realize. The excitement, the joy, the eagerness to learn something new, the yearn for something fun to do in this crazy time, the accomplishments that I see when you have a product that you created even though you never have baked anything before.

Thank you to all of you that have continued to reach out and check on me, it truly means so much. I am just as overwhelmed, worried, uncertain about the future in business and in my personal life, but I do know that I will find a away to keep on adjusting. As frustrating as it can be, it will all be ok.

I hope to see you in real life sooner than later, in the meantime, be sure to check out my class calendar for my list of virtual baking classes. There truly is something for everyone (candy, gluten free, flourless, cookies, pizza, cheesecake, kid friendly classes and more).

Stay safe!

xoxo
